ESL Content Writer

Job overview

We are looking for experienced ESL/EFL teachers (native English speakers) who are able to create high-quality English teaching activities, worksheets and games. As an ESL content writer, you will be joining a fast-paced and motivated team of ESL professionals and content creators. You will be involved in the production of original teaching resources, varying from beginner to upper-intermediate level. You will be responsible for creating fun and innovative resources focusing on grammar, parts of speech, functional language and general English. Your content will then be turned into a finished product by our highly skilled design team. This job is ideal for retired, semi-retired or part-time English teachers.

Job description

The role does not require you to work from our offices although you must be available for weekly meetings and mentoring via Skype. As you will be working from home, you will need to provide your own device to work on, software (Adobe Indesign) and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

We expect resources to be submitted on a weekly basis. The total amount of resources you will be expected to produce per month is 6 to 10. Please consider carefully whether you will be able to consistently commit to 6 to 10 resources per month before applying. The starting pay is $30 USD per resource with a bonus of $3 per resource if you complete the agreed upon amount of resources for the month. All submitted work must be original and of a high standard. Examples of the type of quality we expect will be outlaid to successful applicants.

Core Skills:

Significant experience teaching ESL/EFL across all levels

Excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Highly creative approach to lesson planning and resource development

Proficient use of Adobe Indesign

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of FIVE years English teaching experience

Bachelor of Arts Degree preferably related to English or teaching
