Business English Content Creators

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: Starting at $45 USD per resource

Schedule: Self-determined

Location: Remote

We are looking for experienced business English content creators to join our editorial team to assist in the creation of business English teaching resources for the website.

We are seeking content creators with an ability to create effective business English worksheets, activities, and games that reflect current business trends and practices.

As a content creator, you will be creating business English teaching materials for all levels and topics, paying close attention to tone, style, clarity, grammar, and formatting. The ideal candidate should be creative and have an eye for detail. They should also have a strong interest in creating engaging teaching resources.

Content creators must commit to producing at least two resources per week. Payment is based on production per resource, and an hourly rate is not offered. A typical resource should take two to three hours to create. Your compensation is dependent on your performance, with the potential for increased payment to $60 USD per resource for consistently producing high-quality resources. Resources are created using Adobe InDesign, so experience with InDesign is highly desirable. We provide training and templates to assist those with no previous experience in using InDesign.

This role would be attractive to experienced business English teachers who enjoy creating classroom resources and may be looking to acquire the necessary experience to branch out into a new area of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and create engaging and level-appropriate business English teaching resources that adhere to inhouse style guidelines and formatting.

• Check and proofread your own content.

• Meet quotas and deadlines.

• Be available for training and feedback sessions.

• Develop and build on capabilities from feedback.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: CELTA or equivalent and bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree and/or DELTA highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum three years business English teaching experience across different levels required. Five years plus business English teaching experience highly desirable. Proven experience with creating business English classroom resources required.

Skills and Abilities

• Native English Speaker.

• A level of professionalism that includes excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail, and effective time management and organizational skills.

• IT Skills: Proficiency with MS Word required. Proficiency with InDesign highly desirable.

• A working knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

• Ability to meet deadlines.
